CPN-UML calls emergency meeting

KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML has called an emergency meeting of the Central Office.

General Secretary Shankar Pokhrel convened the meeting, which will also include members of the party’s Disaster Management and Volunteer Department, according to Central Office Secretary Bhishma Adhikari.

The meeting is set to take place at the party’s office in Chyasal, Lalitpur.

Discussions will focus on mobilizing party members in rescue and relief operations due to the extreme conditions caused by water-related disasters in various parts of the country.

The meeting will also address providing financial assistance to flood and landslide victims.
