KATHMANDU: With improved weather conditions, air services have resumed at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) and eight other airports.

According to Jagannath Niraula, General Manager of TIA, flights have been permitted under the Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) system until 10 p.m. tonight.

Both domestic and international flights are currently operating from TIA.

Over 400 flights had been canceled on Friday and Saturday due to adverse weather conditions.

Tribhuvan International Airport typically handles 150 to 160 flights per day.

All airports, except for Surkhet Airport, have resumed operations.

Previously, the Civil Aviation Authority had suspended all domestic flights from Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. until Saturday afternoon due to bad weather.
