New & clean banknote exchange for Dashain begins today

KATHMANDU: Starting today, new and clean banknotes will be available for exchange in preparation for this year’s Dashain festival.

According to Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), the exchange of fresh notes will be available from today until the 22nd of the month.

The exchange service will be available at the central bank’s Currency Management Department, Banking Department, and its state offices in Biratnagar, Janakpur, Birgunj, Pokhara, Siddharthanagar, Nepalgunj, and Dhangadhi.

Nepal Rastra Bank has also made arrangements for the exchange of new banknotes at the branch offices of licensed banks and financial institutions.
