Manoj Ghimire appointed CEO of SmartChoice Technologies Limited
Ghimire began his banking career at Bank of Asia, now known as NIC Asia Bank, and was previously the Head of Card Services at Laxmi Sunrise Bank.
KATHMANDU: Manoj Ghimire has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of SmartChoice Technologies Limited after receiving the payment system operator license from Nepal Rastra Bank.
He took the oath of office in a ceremony held today in front of the company’s Chairman, Mr. Rabi Kumar Nepal, with the participation of members of the company’s board of directors.
Ghimire began his banking career at Bank of Asia, now known as NIC Asia Bank, and was previously the Head of Card Services at Laxmi Sunrise Bank.
With over 15 years of experience in banking and digital payments—including cards, QR codes, and mobile banking—Ghimire’s expertise, experience, and dedication have instilled confidence in the company’s chairman regarding its future growth. Ghimire expressed his enthusiasm for starting his role as CEO of SCT, highlighting the growing field of digital payments and the significant contributions SCT can make in this sector.
For the past 20 years, SmartChoice Technologies has been providing quality services in digital payments, including payment cards, QR codes, mobile banking, and interbank payment services.
