‘Koshi Government with People’ programme to be launched in Koshi

KATHMANDU: A meeting of the Koshi State government, Council of Ministers has decided to approve the ‘Koshi State Government With the People Programme Operation Procedures, 2081’.

The meeting held under chairmanship of Chief Minister Hikmat Kumar Karki at the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers at Biratnagar formed a political and administrative committee under coordination of Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning, Ram Bahadur Magar.

Similarly, Law, Justice and Province Affairs Committee under coordination of Minister for Internal Affairs, Law and State Affairs, Leela Ballav Adhikari and Economic, Social and Infrastructure Committee under coordination of Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development, Bhupendra Rai, were also formed, said Spokesperson of the Koshi Province government and Minister for Internal Affairs and Law, Adhikari.

Likewise, a decision was taken to submit State Irrigation Regulations, 2081 at the Law, Justice and State Affairs Committee as well as to approve Koshi State Renewable Energy Policy, 2081.

The meeting also decided to give approval to hold discussion and make agreement for modern irrigation project to be implemented at loan support of the Asian Development Bank and co-investment of ‘Saudi Fund for Development’ as well as to approve the temporary quota for 33 employees working at Climate Adapted Comprehensive Drinking Water Project for fiscal year 2081/82.

Similarly, Director, 11th level, Nepal Health Service, Dr Birendra Kumar Mandal, has been transferred at District Hospital Udayapur from State Health Logistic Management Centre on deputation, Dr Gyan Bahadur Basnet, senior public health administrator at State Health Logistic Management Centre from State Health Directorate, Dhankuta, Dr Suresh Mehata, senior public health administrator, at Province Health Directorate, Dhankuta, from Province Health Logistic Management Centre, added Minister Adhikari.
