One held for gruesome murder of father-in-law in Morang

KATHMANDU: A man who allegedly murdered his father-in-law and fled the scene has been arrested by police in Dhankuta.

The incident took place in Pathari Sanischare, Morang, where the accused, 27-year-old Rabin Rai, is said to have killed 60-year-old Chandra Bahadur Tamang on Saturday.

According to police reports, a joint team from the Pathari police station and the Dhankuta district police office apprehended Rai on Sunday from Mulghat in Dhankuta.

The gruesome discovery of Tamang’s body was made around 7:20 AM on Saturday in his own home, as confirmed by DSP Mohan Bikram Dahal of the Pathari police station.

Despite the shocking scene, Rai was initially missing after the crime.
