Prachanda congratulates Sri Lanka’s new President

KATHMANDU: Chair of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ has congratulated Anura Kumara Dissanayake on his historic victory in Sri Lanka’s presidential election.

In a message shared on social media, Dahal extended his congratulations not only to the newly elected president but also to the National People’s Power coalition and Dissanayake’s party, the JVP.

Dahal expressed his admiration for the Sri Lankan people, stating, “I salute the citizens of Sri Lanka for choosing a Marxist leader as a solution to corruption, economic crisis, and geopolitical tensions. I believe that under his leadership, the relationship between Nepal and Sri Lanka will further strengthen.”
