KATHMANDU: During the United Nations General Assembly, Nepal’s Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Lotte Palace Hotel in New York.

Prime Minister Modi shared on social media that they discussed issues of mutual interest and concern between Nepal and India. He emphasized the strong friendship between the two nations, stating, “I had a very good meeting with Prime Minister KP Oli in New York. India-Nepal friendship is very strong, and we want to further deepen our relationship.” The dialogue focused on topics such as energy, technology, and trade.
Oli’s visit to New York for the 79th UN General Assembly facilitated this significant side-line meeting after considerable efforts to arrange it.
