Eight detainees escape from Dhanusha police custody, one re-arrested

KATHMANDU: Eight detainees have escaped from the custody of the District Police Office, Dhanusha.

On Sunday night, they broke the ventilation window of the detention room and fled.

Among the nine detainees who attempted to escape, one has been re-arrested by the police.

A search operation has been underway since the night to apprehend the remaining fugitives.
