KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane has proposed holding talks with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

On Sunday, following the arrest of a director of Gorkha Media Pvt. Ltd. in connection with a cooperative savings fraud case, Lamichhane expressed concern over the police’s actions and made the proposal through social media.

Lamichhane stated that he is ready for discussions regarding justice for the victims of the cooperative scam. Addressing Prime Minister Oli, he wrote, “Don’t just watch from New York, Prime Minister. Come back and let’s sit down and talk. If you have the intention of delivering justice to the cooperative victims, I will arrange a room; we don’t need the brokers’ house. More tomorrow…”

Prime Minister Oli is currently in New York to attend the United Nations General Assembly. Earlier on Sunday, the police arrested Lamichhane’s former business partner, ex-DIG Chhabilal Joshi, who is currently in Kaski.
