When Prasai refused to open the gate, the police entered the compound and took him into custody.
KATHMANDU: Medical Businessman Durga Prasai has requested not to be arrested in the same manner as corrupt individuals.
After being taken into custody, he said, “Please don’t make it look like I’m being arrested like a corrupt person.
“Don’t make this look like an arrest; I’ll come in voluntarily.” He also declared that he would fight against Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli until his last drop of blood.
On Sunday, police arrived at his residence in Bhaktapur to arrest him. When Prasai refused to open the gate, the police entered the compound and took him into custody.
A complaint had been filed against him with the Cyber Bureau, which sought permission from the District Court in Kathmandu to arrest him for investigation.
After receiving approval from the court, Prasai was arrested.
Shortly after being taken to the Cyber Bureau, Prasai was presented before the court.
