21st Mahalaxmi Literary Award 2080 presented to epic poet Muna Aryal
This year, the award was presented to literary figure Muna Aryal in coordination with the Matribhumi Sahitya Samaj, Makwanpur.
KATHMANDU: The 21st edition of the Mahalaxmi Literary Award for the year 2080 was presented to epic poet Muna Aryal on Sept 21 during a special program.
Established in 2059 B.S. by the then Yeti Finance Limited (now merged with Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank), the award aims to honor literary figures who have contributed to the field of language and literature.
This year, the award was presented to literary figure Muna Aryal in coordination with the Matribhumi Sahitya Samaj, Makwanpur.
The event was chaired by Krishna Prasad Dahal, President of Matribhumi Sahitya Samaj, Makwanpur, and the chief guest was Bagmati State’s Minister of Internal Affairs and Law, Surajchandra Lamichhane.
During the program, the award was jointly presented by the bank’s Province “Kha” Chief of Bagmati State and Minister Surajchandra Lamichhane.
The bank believes this initiative will contribute to the development and preservation of the literary sector in Nepal.
