KATHMANDU: A parliamentary investigation committee led by Surya Thapa has revealed the names of 29 individuals who are currently on the run after being involved in embezzlement of savings from cooperative organizations.

The report, which was presented to the Federal Parliament, highlights that these 29 individuals absconded after misusing funds from various cooperatives.

Among those mentioned are Gitendra Babu (GB) Rai from Swarnalakshmi Cooperative, Bharat Maharjan, Rajmaya Maharjan, Sachin Maharjan, Sarala Maharjan, and Nimitraj Shrestha, all associated with Sumeru Savings and Credit Cooperative.

Additionally, Gyan Bahadur Bamjan, Than Bahadur Budhamagar, Bhupendra Rai from Suryadarshan Cooperative, and Tej Bahadur Bamjan from Shivsikhar Cooperative are also listed among the absconders.

The committee has recommended that the government make efforts to apprehend these individuals.
