KATHMANDU: Soni Sindhu, wife of Janamat Party Chair Dr. CK Raut, has filed a request with the police seeking protection, claiming that she has been receiving various threats and facing mental abuse from her husband.

Sindhu submitted the complaint at the Imadol Police Station in Lalitpur.

According to Sindhu, the police initially hesitated to accept her complaint.

However, DSP Chitra Bhattarai from the Satdobato Police Circle later confirmed that he had instructed the officers at the station to register the complaint. “I have directed the concerned authorities to accept the complaint,” said Bhattarai.

Sindhu revealed that she has been threatened with death by Dr. Raut and also fears being separated from her three minor children.

Although the complaint was not immediately registered on Thursday, she was called for further discussion today (Friday).

Dr. Raut and Sindhu have reportedly been living on separate floors of the same house. Their three children, one son and two daughters, are currently living with their mother.

Dr. Raut had previously filed a police complaint seeking security and has also filed for divorce in the Lalitpur District Court.

Despite the ongoing conflict, Sindhu stated that she is not currently in a position to leave her husband. ”

The children are minors, and they need the love of both their parents. I don’t want to separate from them by taking my share and leaving,” she said.
