Elderly man dies after tree branch falls in Dhankuta

KATHMANDU: An elderly man passed away on Wednesday in Dhankuta Municipality-9 after being struck by a falling tree branch.

The deceased has been identified as 72-year-old Kamal Bhandari, a local resident, according to the police.

Bhandari was reportedly working to install a water pipe when a tree branch suddenly broke and struck his head.

He died at the scene, as confirmed by the police.

Further investigation into the incident is ongoing, authorities stated.
