Buddha Air expands flights to Varanasi, India
The increased flight frequency is expected to provide additional convenience for travelers, as stated in the company’s press release.
KATHMANDU: Buddha Air, a private sector airline, has announced the addition of a third weekly flight to Varanasi, India.
Previously, the airline operated two flights a week to this destination, but it will now increase the frequency to three flights per week—on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
The increased flight frequency is expected to provide additional convenience for travelers, as stated in the company’s press release.
Buddha Air’s subsidiary, Buddha Holidays, also offers holiday packages to Varanasi and nearby destinations such as Sarnath and Ayodhya.
These packages are aimed at facilitating travel for those participating in the sixteen-day Shraddh ritual in Gaya, India.
The flight from Kathmandu to Varanasi takes approximately 50 minutes.
The starting one-way fare for the route is Rs 11,360.
Flights are scheduled to depart from Kathmandu at 7:15 AM and from Varanasi at 8:30 AM.
Currently, Buddha Air operates a fleet of 18 aircraft, including two ATR 42s and sixteen ATR 72s.
