Atishi to become Delhi’s new CM as Kejriwal resigns

KATHMANDU: Atishi Marlena, a leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and currently a minister in the Delhi government, has been confirmed as the new Chief Minister of Delhi.

The decision was made by the party’s legislative meeting held at the residence of the current Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal, in Civil Lines.

Atishi is currently managing six ministries, including the Finance and Education departments, within the Delhi government.

Chief Minister Kejriwal will soon submit his resignation to Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor, VK Saxena.
