KATHMANDU: The first national assembly of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has commenced in the federal capital, Kathmandu.

The inauguration took place this morning at the Pragya Pratisthan in Kamaladi, with party Chair Rabi Lamichhane and officials ringing the bell to start the event.

The assembly, which will continue until tomorrow, will feature an organizational report presented by Acting General Secretary and Head of the Organization Department, Kavindra Burlakoti.

Discussions on this report are expected to take place today.

Chair Rabi Lamichhane’s political report is scheduled to be presented on the second day.

Over 1,500 representatives from across the country are participating in the assembly.

The representation includes members from electoral constituency committees, district coordinators/deputy coordinators, state committees/departments, central committees/departments, and commissions.

The assembly is expected to announce a national campaign and set the date for the party’s first grand convention.
