Employees Provident Fund organizes morning rally to mark 63rd anniversary

KATHMANDU: The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) has organized a morning rally today on the occasion of its 63rd anniversary.
On the occasion of the anniversary, EPF has also conducted a poetry competition, blood donation and sports competition.
The morning rally that started from the head office of the Fund at Pulchok, went through Kupandol, Thapathali, Maitighar and reached the head office. Jitendra Dhital, the Administrator of the Fund, thanked the employees of the fund and the people and organizations associated with it on the occasion of the anniversary.
Currently, there are about 575,000 contributors in the fund, while 80,400 people are affiliated to the pension fund.
Similarly, 33,600 contributor offices and 3,800 office pension fund have been added to the Provident Fund.
According to Administrator Dhital, about Rs. 6 billion financial resources are being mobilized including Rs 529 billion and 690 million in the reserve fund.
Recently, the Fund has been providing social security facilities such as Saver Health Care Scheme, Maternity and Infant Care Scheme, Accident Compensation Scheme and last rites Subsidy Scheme.
