Girls denied justice due to PM Oli: Mayor Balen

KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah has criticized Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, attributing the lack of justice for victimized girls to Oli’s actions.

Shah stated that due to the victims’ inability to receive justice and their subsequent deaths, he was unable to extend greetings for Children’s Day.

On Saturday evening, Mayor Balen expressed his sentiments on social media, saying that he could not wish Prime Minister Oli a Happy Children’s Day because of the injustice faced by these girls, which he blames on Oli. He added, “I cannot offer Children’s Day greetings due to the victims’ inability to get justice, which resulted in their deaths. I would like to extend these greetings directly to PM Oli. Please accept them.”
