Man in Morang secretly divorces wife without her knowledge

KATHMANDU: A man secretly divorced his wife without informing her in Morang.

Dinesh Bista from Kanepokhari Rural Municipality-5, Morang, has been found to have processed a divorce certificate without notifying his wife.

He collaborated with local officials to obtain the divorce certificate.

Sharada Thapa, Bista’s wife, revealed that the divorce certificate was issued without her knowledge.

According to documents, the Kanepokhari-5 office issued the divorce certificate on Poush 21, 2079 BS, based on a court order from the Morang District Court dated Mangsir 16, 2079 BS.

However, the Morang District Court has not yet ruled on the divorce between Dinesh and Sharada.
