KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has announced that all preparations for its upcoming National Assembly, scheduled for Sept 17 & 18, have been completed.

During a press conference held at the party’s central office on Thursday, the party’s Acting General Secretary, Kavindra Burlakoti, confirmed that the assembly will take place at the Nepal Academy in Kathmandu.

Burlakoti mentioned that around 1,500 representatives are expected to attend.

He noted that, as a newly established political party, there has been significant interest, and they have made arrangements to accommodate 1,500 representatives.

Efforts have been made to include representatives from the central committee down to local municipalities.

The party claims to have established structures in around 400 municipalities and over 2,000 wards.

However, Burlakoti explained that it is not feasible to bring representatives from all wards, so representatives will be selected at the municipal level.

The RSP also assured that accommodation and transportation arrangements have been made for representatives coming from outside the Kathmandu Valley.

To ensure smooth organization of the event, 15 sub-committees have been formed, led by central committee members.
