KATHMANDU: The Federal Parliament’s Parliamentary Hearing Committee has completed the hearings for ambassadors proposed for 17 countries.

The committee on Thursday finished hearings for ambassadors proposed for four more countries, bringing the total to 17.

The committee is scheduled to make a decision on these proposed ambassadors on Sept 15, with another meeting set for 9:00 AM on the same day.

The government had recommended 17 ambassadors from various countries during the Cabinet meeting held on July 29.

The proposed ambassadors are:

  • Dr. Shankar Prasad Sharma for India
  • Dr. Krishna Prasad Oli for China
  • Sumina Tuladhar for Denmark
  • Dr. Shail Rupakheti for Germany
  • Prof. Dhan Prasad Pandit for Israel
  • Dr. Netra Prasad Timalsina for Malaysia
  • Rita Dhital for Pakistan
  • Prakash Mani Poudel for Portugal
  • Ramesh Chandra Poudel for Qatar
  • Jang Bahadur Chouhan for Russia
  • Naresh Bikram Dhakal for Saudi Arabia
  • Dr. Kapilman Shrestha for South Africa
  • Dr. Shivmaya Tumblahamphe for South Korea
  • Sunil Nepal for Spain
  • Ram Krishna Bhattarai for Sri Lanka
