CIB raids call center in Lalitpur, arrests 50 people

KATHMANDU: The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of the Nepal Police has conducted a raid at a call center located in the secluded area of Ekantakuna, Lalitpur.

The CIB has apprehended 50 individuals involved in illegal activities at the call center.

Among those arrested are 2 Chinese nationals and 1 Filipino national.

It has been discovered that the call center, operated by Chinese nationals, was involved in illegal activities such as deceiving Nepalis into investing under false assurances and committing fraud.
