Transfers of CDOs in 5 districts including Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Home Affairs has announced the transfer of Chief District Officers (CDOs) in five districts, including Kathmandu.

New CDOs have been appointed to replace those transferred.

Jitendra Basnet, the former CDO of Kathmandu, has been transferred to the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The new CDO for Kathmandu will be Jay Narayan Acharya, who was previously the Director General of the Department of Prisons Management.

In the remaining districts, the new appointments are as follows:

• Kiran Thapa has been appointed as CDO of Sindhupalchowk.
• Leela Prasad Sharma will take over as CDO of Sindhuli.
• Baburam Aryal has been assigned as CDO of Arghakhanchi.
• Rama Acharya has been appointed as CDO of Pyuthan.

The positions of CDO in Sindhuli, Sindhupalchowk, and Arghakhanchi had been vacant for nearly a month.
