Sumana queries: Were academic activities banned during Oli’s rule?

KATHMANDU: Sumana Shrestha, a lawmaker from the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and former Education Minister, has criticized student organizations affiliated with the ruling coalition for obstructing students’ access to education and exams.

Speaking during a special session of Parliament, Shrestha accused the student groups aligned with the UML (UML) and Congress parties of depriving students of their right to study and take exams.

She questioned whether, during the Oli administration, students were prevented from studying, taking exams, and receiving diplomas.
