Weather forecast update: Monsoon activity across Nepal
Currently, skies remain partly to generally cloudy across the country, with light rainfall reported in a few locations in Gandaki and Karnali States.
KATHMANDU: The country is currently experiencing the influence of monsoon winds.
According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Weather Forecast Division, the monsoon trough is positioned to the south of its average position, affecting the weather across Nepal.
Currently, skies remain partly to generally cloudy across the country, with light rainfall reported in a few locations in Gandaki and Karnali States.
Daytime Forecast
Most regions will experience partly to generally cloudy skies for the rest of the day. Light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms is possible in several areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, while a few places in other regions may also see rain. Isolated heavy rainfall is expected in one or two locations in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali States.
Nighttime Forecast
At night, the weather will remain partly to generally cloudy across the country, with the possibility of light to moderate rain and thunderstorms in a few areas of each States.

Monday:
Daytime: Partly to generally cloudy skies will prevail. There is a chance of light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms in several areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim States, and isolated heavy rain in one or two places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali States.
Nighttime: The skies will remain partly to generally cloudy across the country. Thunderstorms with light to moderate rain are expected in a few areas in each States.
Tuesday:
Daytime: Similar conditions will persist with partly to generally cloudy skies across the country. Several areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces are expected to experience light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms. One or two places in Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim States may see heavy rain.
Nighttime: The weather will remain partly to generally cloudy. Some areas in Koshi State and a few locations in other States may experience light to moderate rain with thunderstorms.
Residents are advised to stay updated on weather conditions and take necessary precautions in areas likely to experience heavy rainfall.
