KATHMANDU: The government has set a 30-minute time limit for tea breaks in government offices.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli shared this information through social media, addressing complaints that public services were being interrupted during tea breaks.
Prime Minister Oli stated, “Tea breaks are necessary, but official work should not be halted for long periods in the name of tea breaks.
In some government offices, tea breaks had extended to an hour. Henceforth, it has been reduced to 30 minutes, from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM every day.”
He also urged citizens to report any violations of this new rule through the “Hello Sarkar” platform.
