Two held for murder of young woman found dead in Sundarijal

KATHMANDU: Two individuals have been arrested on charges of murdering a woman in Gokarneshwar Municipality-1, Sundarijal.

According to SP Navaraj Adhikari of the District Police Office, Kathmandu, the suspects are identified as 40-year-old Ram Binay Mahara and 24-year-old Santosh Ram Mahara, both from Sarlahi.

Initially, their identities were unknown, but through technical analysis and human intelligence, the police were able to arrest them from the Basundhara area on Saturday.

The woman’s body was found in a suspicious condition on Thursday, wedged between rocks in Sundarijal.

Police have identified the deceased as Ram Dulari, a resident of Siraha, who was making a living through labor work.

However, her family and relatives have yet to be contacted.

SP Adhikari stated that a romantic relationship is suspected to be the motive behind the murder, and further investigation is ongoing.
