Facebook restores Balen’s post

KATHMANDU: The Facebook post said to have been removed by Kathmandu Mayor Balendra Shah (Balen) has been returned.

The post in question included a photo of UML lawmaker Rekha Sharma from Lumbini State, along with comments about her.

After the post disappeared from Balen’s Facebook, some speculated that he had deleted it himself.

However, Balen clarified that Facebook had removed the post due to pressure from the government.

He further mentioned that after submitting a review request to Facebook, the platform apologized and restored the post.
