Teej Festivities: Foreigners join the dance (photos)

KATHMANDU: Haritalika Teej is being celebrated across the country today with devotion to Lord Shiva.

Temples dedicated to Shiva are crowded with women observing the fast.

Celebrated annually on the third day of the bright fortnight of Bhadra, this festival involves fasting and worship of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.

It is believed that observing this fast and performing the rituals brings happiness, peace, and prosperity.
