House construction begins for ‘Prakash Tamang,’ a character from Herne Katha

KATHMANDU: A house construction project has been initiated for Prakash Tamang, a character from the YouTube channel “Herne Katha” and its episode titled “Harayeaka Barsha Haru” (The Lost Years).

On Wednesday, the foundation stone for Prakash’s house was laid in Sampang, Shadananda Municipality-10, Bhojpur.
The ceremony was conducted jointly by former minister and MP Sudan Kirati, the president of the Ex-Gurkha Soldiers’ Organization (GESO) Krishna Kumar Rai, and Prakash’s parents.
GESO President Rai provided seven ropanis of his ancestral land for Prakash’s house.
The house, which will be built under the leadership of the CPN (Maoist Centre), is valued at around NPR 1.5 million. T
he local Maoist Centre Idanand Municipal Committee is spearheading the construction of a five-room house on this land.
Party workers, under the coordination of MP Kirati, will contribute labor and financial support to complete the house. Prakash, who had been missing for about 33 years, returned to his parents’ home in Chhaplegaun, Shadananda-10, last Saturday.
He expressed his desire to stay with his parents and engage in farming in the future.
Various organizations have been extending support to Prakash, and a government team has visited his home to issue his birth registration and citizenship documents.
