KATHMANDU: A house construction project has been initiated for Prakash Tamang, a character from the YouTube channel “Herne Katha” and its episode titled “Harayeaka Barsha Haru” (The Lost Years).

The construction began with a foundation stone-laying ceremony.

The ceremony was conducted jointly by former minister and MP Sudan Kirati, the president of the Ex-Gurkha Soldiers’ Organization (GESO) Krishna Kumar Rai, and Prakash’s parents.

GESO President Rai provided seven ropanis of his ancestral land for Prakash’s house.

The house, which will be built under the leadership of the CPN (Maoist Centre), is valued at around NPR 1.5 million. T

he local Maoist Centre Idanand Municipal Committee is spearheading the construction of a five-room house on this land.

Party workers, under the coordination of MP Kirati, will contribute labor and financial support to complete the house. Prakash, who had been missing for about 33 years, returned to his parents’ home in Chhaplegaun, Shadananda-10, last Saturday.

He expressed his desire to stay with his parents and engage in farming in the future.
