Court records revealed that Shah had been frequenting the restaurant where Pandey worked over the past year.

KATHMANDU: A Texas court has denied bail to Bobby Singh Shah, the suspect in the murder of 21-year-old Nepali student Muna Pandey in Houston.
Shah appeared in a Houston court on Tuesday, where new details about the relationship between the 51-year-old suspect and the victim emerged, according to local media outlet Click2Houston.
Court records revealed that Shah had been frequenting the restaurant where Pandey worked over the past year.
During the initial hearing, Shah’s attorney, Wilvin J. Carter, maintained his client’s innocence, stating, “We are eager to prove his innocence in the court of law.”
However, the prosecution requested that Shah remain in custody without bail until the next hearing scheduled for December.
Muna Pandey, originally from Bhojpur, Nepal, was studying nursing in the United States, having moved there in 2021 to pursue her education.
