KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Centre) MP Devendra Poudel has raised concerns over errors in the MBBS entrance exam results, alleging that such mistakes are jeopardizing students’ futures.

Speaking during the emergency session of the House of Representatives on Tuesday, MP Poudel highlighted that the results released by the Medical Education Commission were flawed.

He pointed out that, despite students obtaining the same scores, their rankings were determined based on roll numbers instead of the standard tie-breaking criteria.

MP Poudel criticized the Executive Committee of the Medical Education Commission and the Integrated Entrance Examination Committee for making such a serious mistake.

He questioned whether human errors that put students’ futures at risk could be tolerated. Furthermore, he claimed that the results of 3,000 students were mishandled.

In his remarks, MP Poudel called for transparency in the results and urged the relevant authorities to take steps to rectify the situation.

He also emphasized the need to properly organize the quota for students eligible to study MBBS based on merit.
