KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress MP Ramhari Khatiwada has urged government ministers to exercise restraint in their speech.

Speaking during the House of Representatives session on Tuesday, Khatiwada expressed concern over a recent statement by Minister for Communication and Information Technology, Prithivi Subba Gurung, in which he reportedly said that the tongue of the Inspector General of Nepal Police should be restrained.

MP Khatiwada called for an explanation from the government regarding this statement in Parliament.

He also urged ministers to “put a brake on their tongues” when speaking.

Additionally, Khatiwada demanded a response from the government regarding rumors that ministerial positions were being sold in Gandaki State.
