Police launch probe into Rabi Lamichhane over cooperative fund mismanagement

KATHMANDU: The District Police Office Kaski has begun an investigation into Rabi Lamichhane, President of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), in connection with a cooperative financial mismanagement case.
Lamichhane is accused of embezzling funds from the Surya Darshan Cooperative in Pokhara.
An investigation has been initiated based on a complaint involving Lamichhane and 18 others.
The investigation follows a second report and complaint submitted against Lamichhane by the investigation committee of the Pokhara Metropolitan City.
During the inquiry into the cooperative’s investments, the police have requested documents from Lamichhane.
According to sources, the Kaski police have also sought documents from four other individuals.
The Kaski police team reportedly came to Kathmandu and even conducted a search at Galaxy TV.
