Prakash Tamang meets PM Oli: ‘Things will be easier now, I’m happy’

KATHMANDU: After 35 years, Prakash Tamang, also known as ‘Kale,’ reunited with his family and met with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

Prakash, who received his citizenship in Bhojpur, traveled to Kathmandu and visited Prime Minister Oli at the Baluwatar residence on Monday evening.

Following their meeting, Prime Minister Oli remarked that obtaining citizenship would make life easier for Prakash. “Prakash Tamang came to meet me this evening after receiving his citizenship,” Oli shared on social media Monday night. “Now that he has his citizenship, other aspects of his life will also become easier. I’m happy for him. Good night!”

Prakash became widely known after his story, “Harayeka Barsha” (The Lost Years), was featured on the YouTube channel ‘Herne Katha.’
