Madhav Nepal departs for Russia; Pandey assumes role of acting Chair

KATHMANDU: Madhav Kumar Nepal, the Chair of the CPN (Unified Socialist), has departed for Vladivostok, Russia, to participate in an international conference on “Multipolarity Forum.”

He left at 11 PM on Sunday to take part in a group discussion at the “South Asian Economic Forum.”

The conference is scheduled to take place from Sept 3 to 6.

During his visit, Chair Nepal will also hold meetings and discussions with high-level leaders there. In his absence, the party has designated Senior Vice Chair Rajendra Pandey as the acting chairman.

Chair Nepal is scheduled to return to Nepal next Sunday.
