Three dead in Nawalparasi safety tank accident

KATHMANDU: Three individuals in Raninagar, Ward No. 7 of Binayi Tribeni Municipality, Nawalparasi (Bardghat Susta East) have died while working inside a safety tank under construction.

The victims, who were found unconscious inside a safety tank being built for a local resident, Bhola Singh Kshetri’s toilet, were later confirmed dead during treatment.

According to Police Deputy Superintendent Bed Bahadur Paudel of the Nawalparasi (Bardghat Susta East) District Police Office, the deceased are Prakash Singh Kshetri, 38, Ganesh Bogati, 19, and Mohammad Raja, 28, all from Ward No. 7 of Binayi Tribeni Municipality.

The three individuals were rescued in an unconscious state from the safety tank and were transported to Bhairahawa Medical College in Rupandehi for treatment. However, the doctors declared them dead upon arrival.

The bodies of two of the deceased have been sent to Bhim Hospital in Bhairahawa, Rupandehi, while the body of the other individual has been taken to the Prithvi Chandra District Hospital in Nawalparasi (West).

Police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
