KATHMANDU: Prakash Tamang from Bhojpur, who recently reconnected with his family after 35 years through the YouTube channel “Herne Katha,” has received a significant offer of support from the Koshi State government.
Koshi State Chief Minister Hikmat Kumar Karki expressed deep concern over the hardships faced by Tamang, one of the state’s citizens, and announced that the government is prepared to assist him in pursuing agricultural or livestock farming if he chooses to do so within the State.
Chief Minister Karki assured that the State government is ready to provide this support, emphasizing that once Tamang receives his citizenship, efforts are already underway by the federal government to expedite this process.
“If he had formal educational qualifications, we could have offered him a government job,” Chief Minister Karki stated. “Since that isn’t the case, we are preparing to assist him in utilizing his skills in agriculture or livestock farming.”
