Tata Motors launches Punch.ev at NADA Auto Show 2024; unveils Tata.ev – new brand identity specially created for EVs business

KATHMANDU: Tata Motors, India’s leading automobile manufacturer, today launched the Punch.ev, its best-selling sub-compact electric SUV, at the NADA Auto Show 2024 in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Launched in partnership with Sipradi Trading Pvt Ltd, the Punch.ev will provide more choice and make the pleasure of driving and owning an electric vehicle (EV) accessible to a larger customer audience in Nepal.

Built on the state-of-the-art acti.ev architecture, the Punch.ev comes equipped with cutting-edge technology and advanced features, offers a superior driving experience with enhanced safety and a high ground clearance of 190mm. Available in two battery pack options: a 25 kWh pack (MR) and a 35 kWh pack (LR) with LR version offering a real world range of 270 -290 km (obtained in the in- market testing done in Nepal), it caters to diverse customer needs of range and price. With two e-Drive options, it promises a robust performance with a 0 to 100 km/h sprint time of 9.5 seconds and a top speed of 140 km/h. The battery and motor are IP67 rated for dust and water protection, with an 8-year or 1, 60, 000 km warranty, offering customer’s peace of mind.

As the first 4-wheel EV brand to be the title sponsor of the NADA Auto Show, Tata Motors also unveiled its new brand identity of Tata.ev, specially created for passenger electric vehicles. Tata.ev portrays the philosophy of “Move with Meaning,” which is built on the 3 core values of sustainability, community and technology together.  ‘Move’ reflects the company’s focus on mobility and symbolizes a collective shift towards EVs and a Safer, Smarter, Greener future. ‘With meaning’ emphasizes responsibility, collective action, and future readiness. Tata.ev will drive forward its commitment to accelerate the adoption of zero-emission mobility in Nepal with meaningful customer experiences.

Giving Punch.ev company at the auto show is the best-selling electric car of FY24, Tiago.ev, that was introduced in Nepal by Tata Motors in 2023. With its innovative features, reliable performance, and eco-friendly design, the Tiago.ev developed a huge fan following strengthening, Tata Motors’ leadership in EVs.

Furthermore, the exciting EV offerings will be supported by the largest EV ecosystem in Nepal consisting of 395+ charging network, 16 EV dedicated service network, 22 sales touch points, all jointly built over the years by Tata Motors and Sipradi.
