President Paudel offers prayers at Krishna Temple

KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Paudel visited the Krishna Temple in Patan, Lalitpur, to offer prayers and worship on the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami.

Earlier, President Paudel was welcomed at the Krishna Temple by federal parliamentarians elected from Lalitpur, members of the Bagmati State Assembly, Lalitpur Chief District Officer Tulsi Bahadur Shrestha, and the Acting Chief of Lalitpur Metropolitan City, Manjali Shakya Bajracharya, among others.
After receiving the offerings at the temple, President Paudel also visited Mangalhiti. It is a tradition for the head of state to visit the Krishna Temple and offer prayers every year on the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami.
Shri Krishna Janmashtami is celebrated annually on Bhadra Krishna Ashtami, commemorating the birth of Lord Krishna.
Devotees have been flocking to Krishna temples across the country, including the Krishna Temple in Patan, throughout the day to observe the festival.
