KATHMANDU: A man has been murdered in Shankhamul, Kathmandu.

The incident occurred late Sunday night in front of the Timepass Snooker House, located near the Buddha Bihar in Shankhamul.

According to District Police Range Kathmandu spokesperson SP Navaraj Adhikari, the victim has been identified as 40-year-old Rupak Bantawa, who was also the owner of the snooker house.

Bantawa was reportedly beaten to death around 2 AM while he was sleeping inside the snooker hall.

SP Adhikari stated that an investigation into the incident is ongoing, and several individuals have been taken into custody in connection with the crime.
