Hezbollah launches massive drone attack on Israel

KATHMANDU: Hezbollah launched a large-scale drone attack against Israel on Sunday morning.

The group stated that the attack was in retaliation for the assassination of one of its senior commanders in Beirut.

The assault triggered air raid sirens in northern Israel.

Earlier on Sunday, Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesperson Daniel Hagari announced that Israel had begun a series of airstrikes in Lebanon.

The Israeli airstrikes targeted locations under the control of the Lebanese Hezbollah group as a preemptive measure.
