Govt develops new data security guidelines

KATHMANDU: Radhika Aryal, Secretary of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, announced that the government has prepared data security guidelines.
Speaking at an event organized by the Nepal Chamber of Commerce in Kathmandu on Wednesday, she mentioned that the ministry has also started work on the construction of IT parks and knowledge parks.
Secretary Aryal noted that the ministry has approved a concept paper on artificial intelligence (AI) and has begun formulating policies related to it.
She appealed to all stakeholders to cooperate as the government is dedicated to developing necessary policies for the communications sector and other areas.
Secretary Aryal highlighted that the government is working to ensure access to information technology for everyone and urged the private sector to make the most of these resources.
