KATHMANDU: Due to adverse weather conditions, flights have been disrupted across airports in the country.

Both domestic and international flights have been affected due to poor weather and low visibility, according to Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).

Airport General Manager Jagannath Niroula reported that continuous rain has led to disruptions in some flights.

Visibility is weak due to the poor weather, causing flight cancellations in Pokhara, while flights at Janakpur and Simara airports could not proceed as scheduled.

On the international front, an Air China flight was diverted. Scheduled to land at TIA at 10:55 a.m., the flight was redirected due to the bad weather.

Although some international flights were temporarily held, they have begun landing again, according to the airport’s General Manager Niroula.

According to Buddha Air’s spokesperson Deependra Kumar Karn, flights to Pokhara Airport have been postponed due to the poor weather.

Visibility issues have also caused disruptions at Bharatpur Airport.

A Buddha Air flight to Nepalgunj from Surkhet was diverted this morning due to the weather. Flight disruptions were also reported at Pokhara Airport on Tuesday.
