Five seriously injured in Bolero jeep accident in Changkheli

KATHMANDU: Five people were seriously injured when a Bolero jeep met with an accident this morning in Changkheli Rural Municipality, south of Humla.

According to Police Inspector Narendra Chand from the District Police Office, the incident involved a jeep with registration number Karnali State 2001 Cha 0922.

The jeep was traveling from Changkheli-2 Garkha towards Deuli Bazaar when it crashed at Gaurisalla on the Mugu road.

Out of the seven passengers in the jeep, five sustained severe injuries, while two others are in a normal condition.

The seriously injured individuals include 35-year-old Surendra Shah and 50-year-old Tilbahadur Shah from Changkheli Rural Municipality, 15-year-old Rabin Shah, and 40-year-old Prithvi Rawat and Ramesh Malla from Chayanath Municipality-13 in Mugu.

Mahendra Vikram Shah, the driver from Bajura Budhinanda Municipality-4, and Maya Devi Shah from Changkheli-2 sustained minor injuries.

Immediately after the accident, a seven-member team led by Assistant Inspector of Mimi Police Post, Bal Krishna Khand, was dispatched to the scene for rescue operations.

The jeep fell 150 meters down the road from a bend at Gaurisalla during the crash.
