Vice Chair of Sarkegad, Chandra Singh Karki, dies in accident
Karki, who was critically injured, succumbed to his injuries last night at Nepalgunj Medical College.
KATHMANDU: Chandra Singh Karki (Mukti), the Vice Chair of Sarkegad Rural Municipality in Humla, has passed away due to injuries sustained in a traffic accident.
The accident occurred when a vehicle with license number Karnali State 02001 Kha 1011, traveling from Surkhet to Nepalgunj, crashed at the UML turn in Bheriganga Municipality-5, Surkhet.
Karki, who was critically injured, succumbed to his injuries last night at Nepalgunj Medical College, according to the hospital.
He had been elected as Vice Chair from the CPN (Maoist Centre) in the recent local elections.
Chandrasinh Karki was the husband of Jumkit Lama Karki, a member of the Karnali State Assembly.
He was also a member of the Provincial Committee Secretariat of the CPN (Maoist Centre).
