Young woman dies in Butwal road accident
The victim has been identified as 27-year-old Sushma Shrestha.
KATHMANDU: A road accident occurred in Butwal, Rupandehi, resulting in the death of a young woman.
The incident took place on Monday night when a Bolero jeep heading west from Butwal collided with a motorcycle exiting from Bandel Pokhari onto the Mahendra Highway, and a scooter coming from Murgiya to Butwal.
The victim has been identified as 27-year-old Sushma Shrestha, a resident of Sandhikharka in Arghakhanchi, who was living in Devnagar, Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City-11.
According to Inspector Dipendra Baniya of the Butwal Area Police Office, Shrestha was riding a scooter with registration number Lu 87 Pa 4573 from Murgiya to Butwal when an unidentified motorcycle collided with her.
The collision caused Shrestha’s scooter to become uncontrollable and crash into the Bolero jeep with registration number Lu 1 Cha 6783.
Shrestha, who sustained serious injuries, succumbed to her injuries while being transported to the hospital.
The police are currently searching for the motorcycle driver involved in the accident.
