After Rabi, Bipin also involved in cooperative case; committee records statement

KATHMANDU: A special committee investigating cooperatives has questioned Bipin Acharya, the joint general secretary of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP).
The committee took Acharya’s statement on Sunday regarding financial mismanagement.
Acharya, who is also the Creative Director at Gorkha Media, was questioned about the alleged embezzlement of cooperative funds.
In addition to RSP Chair Rabi Lamichhane, Acharya is also implicated in the misuse of cooperative funds.
Documents reveal that Acharya transferred a total of Rs 25.6 million to Gorkha Media from the Sunyadarshan Cooperative on 21 Dec, 2021 and Rs 15.6 million from the Suprim Cooperative.
The investigation has disclosed that not only did Acharya transfer cooperative funds to Gorkha Media, but he also moved money from Gorkha Media to his own company. It has been revealed that NPR 53.5 million was transferred from Gorkha Media to “Nobody Production Pvt. Ltd.,” a company registered in the name of Acharya’s wife, Surakshya Adhikari.
